Back in Time

Approximately 13,000 historical articles from past World Book Year Book volumes present a "you-are-there" account of the most significant events of each year. The articles were written during the year in which the events took place and they reflect the style and thinking of that time. Users can search or browse for topics in WBORC and find links to Back in Time articles in the Related Information box of many WBORC articles.

1. Back in Time articles provide fascinating insights into important events, people, and places around the world. For example, articles written during the years of World War II were written without knowledge of the outcome.
