An algorithm is a set of step-by-step instructions. Computer programmers use algorithms to tell computers what to do. Can you follow the steps to make an origami penguin?!

- Print and cut out the black square.
- Fold the square in half, from corner to corner, so the black side is hidden.
- Unfold the paper, so the black side is showing.
- Fold one flap down, but not all the way to the edge. Flip the whole thing over. Fold the other flap down, but not all the way to the edge.
- Unfold the big crease, so the black side is showing.
- Fold the bottom corner up. Make sure the corner lines up with the crease.
- Flip the paper over. Fold the top corner down. Make sure the corner lines up with the crease.
- Flip the paper over. Re-fold the paper along the crease.
- Gently pull the beak so the penguin’s head faces forward. Make a crease so the head stays facing forward.
