When I was about 8 years old, an encyclopedia salesman visited our home. My Dad sat with me in the living room while the salesman showed us the beautiful World Books. I wanted them so much but we didn't have a lot of money. Somehow my Dad managed to buy a set for me and my brother. I am 70 years old now and I still remember that as one of the best times in my life. Thank you Mother and Daddy. I bought this 2013 set to recreate that childhood memory. I would have loved to buy a 2017 set but can't justify spending that much money when there are no children in the house. But this 2013 set is beautiful and new and special. And it brings back wonderful memories. Thank you World Book.

World Book has the very best encyclopedias for families. I recently purchased the 2013 edition for family. It is bright, beautiful, and eye catching. They are easy to use for all school ages and up. I have a set over 30 years old. They last for many years.

Though it is not the latest edition, because of its lower price, it is good to buy it.

Before we bought it for my son, we went to local library and compared some volumes from different years. we thought this may be best choices.

World Book - a Life Long Friend

My parents had World Books and me and my siblings grew up with them. When I married, my wife and I purchased a set of World Book Encyclopedias which our children grew up with. Now that I'm retired and our kids are grown and on their own, we still keep our set current with a new purchase about every 10 years. I'm always learning and even though the Internet and Wikipedia contain 'all knowledge', still I love how World Book presents the information with color photos, maps, graphs and just the right amount of information. When I have a question, I still go to World Book first, and then if I need more, I'll go to the Internet.
